The Lord’s Supper

For years I have gone to communion the wrong way. I thought the bread and wine were symbolic, and believing that is incorrect. Because it states in the Bible that anyone who participates in the Lord’s supper with the wrong heart is in danger of judgement. It isn’t simply bread and wine. It is the literal body, blood, soul and divinity of the Lord Jesus and when we receive communion it is a gift. It brings me great joy and peace knowing I am taking the presence of Jesus into my body. I asked God to forgive me for taking communion all those years with the wrong heart.
